OCJM Volunteers
Proclaiming liberty to captives (Isa. 61:1)
Volunteers work together with chaplains touching the lives of about 60,000 hurting individuals who pass through the doors of the Orange County Correctional Facility every year.
Volunteers teach, preach, provide music, counsel one-one-one, and help the chaplains distribute Bibles and other Christian materials to inmates. Some even help in the office.
On a typical Sunday, volunteers and chaplains conduct as many as fourteen church services in the jail. Last year, the total attendance at these services was more than 13,000 precious souls.
Here are some more statistics. Every year, volunteers assist chaplains in experiencing these statistical results:
          Inmates attending church..........13,200
          Bibles distributed.......................90,000
          One-one-one counseling ..........24,300
          Inmates accepting Christ.............5,400
          Inmates redidicating their lives...3,300
